JFK Museum

As some of y'all have read this blog for a while, you might know that I've written several articles on John Fitzgerald Kennedy and his assassination and got one of them published. So, my parents decided to take our family to the Sixth Floor Museum at the Texas Schoolbook Depository(where JFK was assassinated). It was very sad but interesting. You put on headsets and it told you where to go. There were 3 short movies and a lot of exhibits about JFK's life, presidential campaign, election, and his short term as president. The main exhibits were on his assassination, and Lee Harvey Oswald. The 5th floor was a reading area and about Jack Ruby. You could also walk around to the Grassy Knoll and all around Dealey plaza. There was also a little gift shop. If you go, across the street is The Old Red museum to tour. The only part of the Sixth floor you can't go to is the actual window the president was shot from. It is walled off in glass.

Here is a quick link to my post on his assassination: http://lac998.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-im-learning-in-our-homeschool.html
