Because it reduces the risk of heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and lots other diseases. It can make you look younger and better. Basically, exercise is not an option! You should exercise whenever you have time.
Stretching and balancing exercises (like yoga or gymnastics) help you get good posture. Working on your flexibility through exercise reduces the chance of injury and improves balance and coordination. If you are stiff and tense exercise can help in that area, too. Exercise can help you burn off calories. If you burn off more calories than you intake, you’ll lose more weight! Good exercise lifts moods, relieves stress, and refreshes your body and soul. It can even help you sleep better.
How often should you exercise? http://www.healthdiscovery.net/articles/exercise_importa.htm says,” If you are a beginner, start off slower than you think you should. Three days per week is realistic, safe and effective. If you are experienced, do cardiovascular (aerobic) exercises such as walking, jogging and bicycling for no more than 200 minutes per week with no more than 60 minutes per session.”
There are two types of exercise- Physical Exercise, as we have just talked about, and Spiritual Exercise. As 1 Timothy 4:7 says, “Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.” Spiritual Exercise is: 1. Reading the Bible. 2. Praying. 3. Going to Church. Although both kinds of exercise are important, Spiritual Exercise should always come 1st!
