- Skin cools your body with sweat from your sweat glands.
- It protects your bones and major organs-if it weren't for your skin, you'd constantly break your bones every time you tripped. Another reason it's important it protects your bones is that your bones contain calcium.
- It warms your body.
- It senses things such as extreme heat-say you touch a hot pan-and sends a message to your brain for you to let go.
