A little poem by me..

  Sandcastle
These little shells must be tiles
From a famous, miniscule monarch's home.
This piece of bottle was a glass window,
Washed away in the foam.
Some tiny king was happy when he
Came to this stately palace of sand.
“Ah!”,cried he, ”From here I shall
rule my land”

Pediatric nursing

I want to be a pediatric nurse, because I enjoy helping people and working with kids. Here is an article I wrote about it:
  Pediatric Nursing Q and A.
Q.What is a pediatric nurse?
A. A nurse who works with kids ages 0-17. She also helps explain what's wrong to kids and their families.

Q.What kind of training do they need?
A. After graduating from a registered nursing program, they must pass an exam known as the NCLEX-RN. Many also take an exam from the PNCB. After this, they'll be C.P.N's.

Q. How much do they make?
A.$38,322-$63,918.

Q.What do they need to be?
A.Compassionate, caring, sympathetic,calm/calming,smart, working well under stress.

!!!:-) ********100******** !!!:-)

I got a 100 on my math test! I am super  EXCITED, because math used to be my worst subject ever. Anyway, I'm learning about time zones and daylight saving time, so, here are some helpful things to remember about time!
1.Spring forward,Fall backward. Set your clocks forward in the spring, and back in the fall.
2. Time zones are an hour earlier in the east, and an hour later in the west.
3. Newfoundland time is not an actual time, because it is only a half hour time difference.
More stuff  I'm learning about;
Proportions, perimeter of rectangular polygons, faces, solids, edges, vertex, withdraw slips,adding\subtracting/multiplying/dividing fractions,etc..:-)!
I also did my science, I'm learning about Galileo.
Galileo wrote an awesome book called Two Principal Systems of the World, but this did not 'go' with popular beliefs, and this caused the Roman church officials to order him jailed. However, they instead confined him to his house, which was fine by him, because he could continue to study the stars from his window. He used a refracting telescope, which he invented after a visit to the world's most famous magnifying-glass maker.

Thanks for reading!

Mini Rex Rabbits

We have Castor Mini Rex rabbits, and we currently have six.(We also have 3 Californian, but that's for later) My bunnies are named Papa Cuddles and Taylor Swift. Here are some things to know if you are thinking of getting Mini Rex rabbits; We feed them a 1/2 cup of Purina rabbit chow a day. Their cages have trays filled with newspaper at the bottom, and we change these every 2 days. It is kinda gross but you get used to it. They drink from water bottle things that hook on to the cage. We give ours fresh water daily. If your girl bunny is pregnant she should get more food and water. If she starts pulling her fur out, DO NOT PANIC!!!
Give her some cotton batting and hay, plus a metal box called a nesting box. She will shape these into a 'nest' for the babies. If she keeps pulling out her fur, just add more hay. If it is cold when the babies are born you may want to put a heat lamp near them. You can show the mom and babies in doe and litter.

Show rules differ, find out for your type of rabbit breed and area. If you are showing Castor Mini Rex rabbits, here is what you do(if you are registered.): 1. They will call "Mini Rex ,then senior/junior  buck/doe or doe&litter. Senior = older rabbit. Junior = younger rabbit.(not babies.)  Buck = boy bunny. Doe = girl bunny. So, if you have a young girl, she is a junior doe. 2. Unless you have a doe & litter, bring your furry friend to the show table. Their is a row of cages with doors on each side. Put your rabbit in one and shut the door. the judge will examine your and everyone else's bunny. If you have a doe & litter, leave them in the cage you brought them in. Then he hands out ribbons, and you are done! (Some shows have the rabbits stay for the week, so school groups can see them.Ours did.)

Day old babies in nesting box.

Super Scribblenauts

Okay! I admit it- I LOVE this game!! It is so fun! You can write anything, like: polka-dot flying bath tub, or,a  Big Crunch apple. You have different puzzles to solve, and you write something to solve it with. Say the hint is: Help the man jump off the cliff. You are the main character, Maxwell, but you can can 'buy' others. I am Cleopatra, my brother is Maxwell's evil twin. Our friend plays a s a Vampire Hunter. :-)You could just give him a parachute,but.. you could also put a giant, fluffy pillow by the cliff, or a big bowl of soft, cozy ice cream. When you win, you get "ollars", which are Super Scribblenaut's currency, and a 'starite',which is a pointy star. It is actually my brother's, but I borrowed it. I've played all the levels.. I am a official Scribblenaut!

My favorite game

This is a game called Whoonu. It is my favorite game. Each person gets 4 cards. They pick 1 person to be the Whoozit. Each person picks 2 cards that they think are the person's favorite and put them in. The cards might say: chocolate, algebra, pickles, heavy metal, History Channel, etc. Then the person lines the cards up. He places a 6 point token at his favorite, a 5 point at his second favorite, and so on.The players take the tokens from above their cards. You continue until every one has been the Whoozit. Then the players add up the numbers on their tokens . The player with the highest number wins!

I am a bookworm..

This book is by Louisa May Alcott, the author of Little Women and other classics. It was written by her for five girls that ran their own magazine. Set in the 1800's, it is about an orphan, Patty, who thinks no one wants her. A family comes for her, but they just needed a servant. They are nice, but they ignore her, and she longs for a real friend/family. I guess you'd call it a Christmas story, but I think it is good for anytime. It is kind of short, and it makes a good read-aloud. If you can't tell, the book is called The Quiet Little Woman.
It is sad, but has a happy ending. If you read it, please comment! I'd love to know what you think of it.
