Project Show time !

Hi again! It is project show time and I am really excited.  Do you see the     muffins, red velvet cupcakes, and blue Barbie cake?  Those are some of the things I entered last year. I won Best of Selection  for them. Notice the empty plates... some people thought it was a buffet! I also entered collections, puzzles, showed chickens, and more.
See me holding a few of my ribbons? -> ->
No pressure this year, right? :) lol..
This year I am entering tons of stuff. You will have to wait and see, though.

Poems and more...

Greetings and Salutations!  Today, before I got up, I wrote some poems: they're posted here, along with some I wrote a long time ago. What do you think?
You and Me
I like mittens,
you like gloves.
I like dogs..
 you love kittens.
My lucky number is 2,
yours is 3.
But we are friends, you and me.
I enjoy rock,
you like pop.
I like pencils,
you like pens.
You write about trees;
I write about wrens.
Yet.. we are friends,

Artist's Poem
A paintbrush is a magic wand
Painting tree and pond
It soars over hill and deer
Creating happiness, goodwill and cheer.
People feel joy in their heart
when they see my art.

I don't really like math, unless I understand it. Geometry... ugh..!
Ode to Math
Twenty, ten, nine, five,eight.
Math is NOT so great
Fractions, digit sum
Area, volume
Oh, math, why are you so confusing?!

My First Post

Today was awesome!  One, it snowed and two, I got a blog!  Yay!!

This is my first post, so I'll tell you about myself.  As you may have noticed from my profile, I love to read.  So, since we had a snow day, I read a super great book.  (well, homeschoolers don't have snow days, so we just did a light amount of school)  The book is shown below. It is one of those books that is just so awesome that you have to tell everyone.

The Mysterious Benedict Society
by Trenton Lee Stewart.
Below are pics of my cats.  Socks is a laid back, "anything goes" (except dogs) kind of guy.  He just walked up to our porch one day and fell asleep.  He was starving and ugly!  Now look at him; so handsome...and just a teeny bit fat.
Socks, he is pretty laid back...

Eleanor, on the other hand, is a bit snooty and occasionally swats you half- heartedly, but she is nice when you get to know her.
Eleanor, "No pictures please".  Loves to be petted on her terms...

I better go, it's late.  Hope to talk to you all again soon...
